Designers

For this wedding, we were commissioned to create invitations, namecards, table numbers, a seating chart, signs and favor cards. The couple enjoyed greens, reds with a vintage bent, thus the natural looking colors and wooden signs.

Growing up I was a huge fan of nature documentaries on NOVA/PBS. I wish that if I were sitting in a quiet forest a deep man’s voice would narrate what I was seeing in a thoughtful manner.

So I’m VERY fond of the fall months and wish that everyday could be as nice as a cool fall day (but not too cool). The couple of weddings I’ve been working on have been fall weddings and the flowers are just gorgeous. I always see the common red, orange, brown, greens but then I sometimes see grays thrown in there - which I might add, is one of my favorite colors.

BTW, this month is going to be gray month. I’m going to start posting pics according to what color I feel that month - let’s see how that goes.

I usually don’t post up furniture or blankets on this tumblr because it’s mainly for you know, wedding/party stuff but hey it’s our blog so we can do whatever we want with it.

I love the simplicity of these blankets from Maine. The quality is top notch and it shouts local artists. I’m starting to become a big fan of light greys, simple, open windows, bright light & wispiness :)

For this wedding, we were asked to create menus, table numbers, and seating chart. Because the couple met in school, we wanted to evoke the sense of young love. Like carving in trees, we burnished their initials in wood rounds and used a similar motif in the screenprinted menus and paper cutting seating chart.

So a friend of mine pointed this postcard garden to me and I immediately thought…brill. It could easily translate to a cute, creative, + green wedding favor. Just think, you can design a postcard cover that coordinates with the rest of your wedding paper goods and the pop up could be the place where you had your wedding or something from the place you had your wedding (i.e. NY skyline, Colorado rockies, etc)
