My friend Jen is a wonderful boston-based photographer! She told me about this wedding recently in which the Bride is a Newbery Honor winning children’s book illustrator! No wonder the wedding has such cute details including these little individual heads on each of the cupcakes — yes, EACH of the cupcakes. The bride made individual heads for each person in attendance and made sure it was alike to their actual facial features! Talk about DIY!

Check this out! According to ancient Japanese tradition, if you fold one thousand paper cranes you will get one wish — often used as a gift for the bride and groom.

(via sunday supper)
I met Aysa of Gleena (although she might not remember me) at a Sunday Supper, which was fantastic!! We had a raspberry consomme, served in the Gleena bowls. Still to this day, I want them for my own wedding. From looking at the blog, I saw that Aysa frequently does wedding work such as below. Great idea right? Rather than getting the same pottery barn dishes as everyone else, why not get a wedding present that’s custom for your personality and taste:

I’m always on the hunt for flower classes and I found this lovely one provided by Floral Studio—flowers seem a bit more uniform than I am used to but they are still pretty :)
Here are some classes in NY that I really like:
